Pelco to Feature Dedicated HD Booth at ISC West 2010

Setting a new standard of performance and usability for fixed HD dome systems, the new Pelco Sarix ID Series
Mega-Performance cameras feature SD to HD resolutions, exceptional lowlight performance, Auto Back Focus,
consistent color, H.264 compression, and analytics.
Compact, powerful and surprisingly affordable, the new Sarix IM Series Mini Indoor Fixed Network Dome includes the most popular features and functionality of Sarix technology. These 1.3 megapixel or standard-definition cameras deliver best-in-class low light performance, H.264 compression, consistent color science and more.

A new firmware update for the popular Sarix IX megapixel camera series will also be on display at the show. The new update offers increased camera performance on extended platform models to 1080p 30 images a second with H.264 compression. It also offers additional features for all Sarix-based cameras including motion detection and advanced image sharpening. Users can also now run simultaneous analytics without having to lower resolution or images per second.

Desktop FHD Displays

Pelco Full HD LCD Displays help customers make the most of their megapixel investment, delivering optimal monitor performance, improved response time, and higher resolution, with sharper, brighter images. Raytec IR Wins Race for 2010 Winter Olympics

Following extensive testing of their latest generation RAYMAX Infra-Red illuminators, Raytec have been chosen to help protect the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Vancouver, Canada.
The Integrated Security Unit which is responsible for all security at the Olympics selected the Raytec IR units over competing products because they give the best possible night-time images around all the venues.

Among other applications, they will be used to provide high quality illumination at the site perimeters throughout the 17 day Olympic and 10 day Paralympic Games.
“Throughout the rigorous testing undertaken by the client, the RAYMAX illuminators were clear winners because of their even coverage and performance to the distances required,” says Paolo Polano of Raytec’s Canadian office.

The newly built Whistler Olympic Park includes four outdoor venues plus over 50km of trails and is playing host to many prestigious events including ski-jumping, cross country skiing and biathlon.
Among the priorities of the security planners, in addition to time and budgetary constraints, was the determination to have as small an environmental impact as possible.
